Reverse Seared New York Strip Steaks

  • PREP TIME: 15 MINS
  • GRILLING TIME: 40 TO 50 MINS

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 New York Strip Steaks, 2” or thicker
  • Olive Oil Blend, as needed
  • Kosher Salt
  • Black Pepper, fine grind

INSTRUCTIONS

  1.  Fill the Hopper with desired charcoal when we ready to cook.
  2. Preheat for 10-15 minutes with the lid closed.
  3. While the grill is coming up to temperature, coat both sides of the steak with olive oil blend and season with kosher salt and pepper.
  4. Place the steak in the grate and cook to an internal temperature of 95˚F. Around 20 – 25 minutes.
  5. Remove steaks from grill and set on the counter to rest.
  6. Increase the grill temperature to 550˚F.
  7. Return steaks to grill and sear for 3 minutes per side or until the steak reaches an internal temperature of 110˚F for medium rare.
