Grilled Asparagus With Feta And Lemon

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 bunch green asparagus
  • 1 organic lemon
  • Salt flakes
  • Pepper
  • 200 grams feta
  • Fresh herbs - e.g. thyme, parsley, rosemary, etc.

INSTRUCTIONS

In the kitchen

  1. Wash the green asparagus and remove the ends.
  2. Cut the asparagus at an angle in appropriate sizes and put in the vegetable asket.
  3. Grate the lemon zest and sprinkle over the asparagus. Season with salt flakes and epper.
  4. Sprinkle with feta.
  5. Wash and chop the herbs.

At the barbecue

  1. Prepare the BBQ for direct heat – approx. 200°C. If using a charcoal BBQ you need well over 1/3 of a chimney starter of lit briquettes.
  2. Place the vegetable basket with the asparagus on the grate and grill for 5-6 min. under closed lid. Remember to stir once in a while.
  3. Sprinkle with chopped herbs before serving.
